Baxter requests recount
Letter sent by an attorney representing former state Sen. Jeff Baxter, R-Spokane Valley, to request a partial recount of votes in Baxter’s bid to retain his seat against Mike Padden. Padden beat Baxter by 3,437 votes and was sworn into office after the Spokane County Canvassing Board on Tuesday certified the November election.
