A candidate for State Representative Pos. 1, Legislative District 15 in the 2010 Washington General Election
On this race:
Elected Experience: I have served as state representative since 1999.
Other Professional Experience: I have worked in the Washington fruit industry 33 years, owning and operating a family farm for 25 years.
Education: I graduated from Franklin High School, New Orleans, Louisiana and attended Louisiana State University.
Community Service: I have coached youth baseball, served as cubmaster with Boy Scouts of America, been an active member of Calvary Baptist Church in Toppenish and served on the board of Washington Growers League. I am also a member of Washington State Horticultural Association, Yakima County Farm Bureau, Navy League and USO.
Statement: I share your concern for our future. No family in the 15th District has been spared the dramatic consequences of the current economic recession. Recent actions of our state government have hindered, not helped Washington's working families. We must move our state in a new direction giving our families the best opportunity for a better future.
Government must live within its means, be more open, accountable and respectful of the values of the people it serves. I am committed to supporting our communities and small businesses as we create jobs and a healthy economy. Please vote for Bruce Chandler.
