On this race: Edgington, 65, is taking his first stab at public office, inspired, he said, by “the stupid things that Post Falls is doing.” That includes raising taxes by 2 percent and passing ordinances that hurt home-based businesses. He said he wants to make sure government is run efficiently and that it is welcoming to citizens and businesses. “I want to put some common sense back in this thing. People need to have a backbone.”
