Kris LaMarr

A candidate for City Council, City of Hayden in the 2011 Idaho General Election

Occupation: Truck driver

Hayden Mayor Ron McIntire is LaMarr’s father-in-law.

On this race:

LaMarr, 48, who is Mayor Ron McIntire’s son-in-law, said he lived in a small Colorado city that did not manage or plan for growth and a lot of mistakes were made. He doesn’t want that to happen in Hayden. He wants to make sure the community is safe for his children and grandchildren, which means maintaining police, fire and emergency services. “I don’t think there’s any glamour in this,” he said of serving on City Council. “I’m doing it solely for the betterment of where I live.” LaMarr said he hasn’t been telling people he’s McIntire’s son-in-law because if he wins: “I want to know I did it by myself.”
