On this race: Warren, 53, ran unsuccessfully for a council position in 2009. She has been the office manager of the EWU American Indian Studies Program since July 2005 and has served in the Army National Guard. Warren has lived in Cheney three times, returning in 2008. She believes the city’s most important issue is new Spokane Transit Authority routes that aren’t working well.

Warren has served as office manager in Eastern Washington University’s American Indian Studies Program since 2005, and serves as adviser to the university’s Native American Students Association.
