Political experience: Ran for Spokane County District Court judge in 1998 and 2002 and Spokane County prosecutor in 2006 as a Democrat and again in 2010 as a “Law and Order” candidate. In those previous races he was on the ballot as Jim Reierson. This time, he has decided to go by his middle name, Richard.

Spokane County District Court Judge Gregory Tripp has many advantages in his race for re-election. Not only is he the incumbent – running for his fifth full term – he also is running against a challenger who is purposefully limiting his campaign.
