Perched precariously, a car came to rest on the tension cables of a power pole Tuesday about 9:30 pm. The woman driving the car apparently misjudged the curve on Lincoln in front of the Stuart Anderson's Black Angus Restaurant in downtown Spokane and ran her car up the cable, police said. Witnesses said the woman tried revving the car's engine in reverse in an attempt to get the car down, but with all four tires lifted off the ground, such a maneuver was impossible. The auto eventually was removed with the help of a crane. Photo Archive/ Spokesman Review
