Pack River Delta

The Pack River Delta east of Sandpoint once teemed with life - mosquitoes, ducks, bats, beavers, moose and muskrats. Over the last half century, however, erosion caused by artifically high water levels turned the lower delta into a sterile mud flat. Armed with an $800,000 grant, Idaho Fish and Game is working to restore the delta.
