WSU vs. Stanford

The WSU Cougars hosted the Stanford Cardinal in the 2009 season and Pac-10 conference opener Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009. The Cougars lost 39-13 in the sparsely attended game.

As the PAC-10 conference game between WSU and Stanford gets to the opening festivities, the crowd only fills about half of Martin Stadium in Pullman on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009. Capacity of the stadium is 35,000 and the announced attendance was 22,386. A swine flu outbreak on campus has sickened more than 2,000 students in recent weeks.
