Logs for China

About a mile from the state Capitol as the gull flies or the salmon swims, the building boom in China and the rebuilding of post-tsunami Japan get a start. Logs that have been trucked or barged into the port are stacked two and three stories high, waiting for the big freighters to navigate Budd Inlet and fill their holds and be lashed to their decks.
