A man covers his face with animal blood to takes part in the ''Momotxorro Carnival'', in Alsasua, northern Spain, Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2015. Momotxorro, characters who seem to have been resurrected from a prehistoric ritual, come out onto the town's streets. Wearing horns and hiding their faces under headscarves, they are dressed in a white sheet stained with blood, sheepskin gilets, blue trousers, white socks and black sandals. They tour the town roaring fiercely and brandishing their wooden staves, goading and frightening everyone who gets in their way.
