SUPer trip on Spokane River
Jed Conklin, Allison Roskelley and Grace Robison made the first known descent of the entire Spokane River by stand-up paddleboards (SUP) on Aug. 4-7, 2017. They ran the 112 miles of flatwater and rapids, including seven portages, six of which were around dams. The river begins at Coeur d'Alene and ends at the confluence with the Columbia River in Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area.
