The Harbor House

(Kathy Plonka)

At the southwest corner of the park the prominent Harbor House contains a food and beverage concession stand and restrooms. Local Rotary Clubs helped fund the stylish structure, which also marks the Tubbs Hill trail head. Hidden below the cupola-topped building is a 65,000-gallon water tank that draws from the lake and serves the park’s irrigation system. The park can use up to 350 gallons of water per minute for irrigating grass and plants. Water draining from the splash pad as well as some filtered storm water from downtown also flows into the irrigation tank.
