Directed by Nathan Lansing, the SFCC Chorale performs “Consecrate the Place and Day” Triptych (Pfautsch/Addision), followed by the women’s choir who presents Exsultate Justi (Dilworth) and “Both Sides Now” (Mitchell). “Where There’s a Whip, There’s a Way” (Yarbrough) and “Seeing Nellie Home” are performed by the men’s choir. The concert turns to barbershop with the women’s group, Eye Candy, offering up “All of My Life” (Berlin) and “They Go Wild, Simply Wild, over Me” (McCarthey/Fisher) followed by the men’s group, Harmony de Lux, who perform “Nevertheless” (Kalmar/Ruby) and “Silhouettes” (Slay/Crewe). SFCC music instructor Danny McCollim accompanies two vocal jazz performances – “Swingin’ down at 10th and Main” (Stigers) and “Monk’s Dream” (Monk). The SFCC Chamber Choir concludes the program with Bendita Sabedoria, Movements 2-6 (Villa-Lobos), the Japanese folk song “Hiraita, Hiraita,” “Si, c’ho vorrei morire” (Monteverdi) and the hymn “Precious Lord” (Dorsey).
