Saturday mail worth saving

Articles have been submitted in support of five-day mail delivery. Even a few letter carriers favor the idea. Don’t count me among them.
USPS, for your information, stands for United States Postal SERVICE. Reducing delivery to five days a week would be a disservice to the American public.
USPS is the only major business that delivers six days a week with no extra fees for Saturday service. Trust me. You would miss mail delivery on Saturday. We are so used to getting our mail we sometimes check the mail on holidays.
There are a lot of activities on Saturdays and Sundays. Can you say birthdays and weddings? There would be a lot of cards and gifts arriving late if this change is imposed.
Should this become a reality, in the future people will say, “What were you thinking?” Five days delivery is a bad idea. Call or write your senators and congressman or congresswoman. Tell them, “Just say no to five-day delivery.
