Huckleberries: Former CdA streets chief retired with his February magic

In February 1985, retired Coeur d’Alene streets director Reid Walker was relaxing at his cabin, enjoying the heavy snowfall, and amused that his replacement had to call out the snow plows to deal with snowy city streets. During Reid’s tenure at the city, it snowed in February. But a warming chinook would follow to thaw the snow. Reid said he never called out the snow plows in February.

Idaho House Speaker Scott Bedke says stalker’s false account twisted in Redoubt News report

Idaho House Speaker Scott Bedke said Monday that a former House committee secretary stalked him in 2013, when his wife was undergoing cancer treatment, and attempted to extort money from him, falsely claiming the two had had a relationship. The Idaho Attorney General’s office referred the matter to the Idaho State Police for investigation, but apparently no charges ended up being filed.
