Spokane alpinist John Roskelley will present a benefit slide show Thursday on his 1995 expedition to Tierra del Fuego’s Mount Sarmiento.
Roskelley volunteered the program to raise money for Scott Lewis of Rathdrum, a climber who suffered serious head injuries in a skiing accident this spring.
A $5 donation is requested for the program, which begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Schuler Auditorium at North Idaho College, Boswell Hall.
The event will be spiced with raffles for a raft trip with ROW, a Burton snowboard and a day of snowcat skiing with Peak Adventures. Everyone will have a chance at a wealth of door prizes donated by area businesses.
Roskelley’s climb was an epic adventure to one of the most remote world-class peaks.
