Jan Whitcomb, center, and her sisters Jane Soltys, left, and Mary Monroe competed in the Coeur d'Alene Triathlon's relay division Saturday. Whitcomb, a lifelong athlete who has multiple sclerosis, did the 1.5-kilometer swim. Soltys ran, and Monroe completed the biking portion.
