In heavy snow, Good Samaritan Jack Fontaine gets down on his knees as he helps Maggie Riedinger across intersection of Post St. and Sprague Thursday afternoon Dec. 18, 2008. Fontaine spotted Riedinger struggling to walk to the grocery store at the STA Plaza. After she did her shopping, Fontaine gently guided her safely home to Plaza Apartments four blocks away.
