St. Ignatius Mission was built in the early 1890s by the Native American tribes living in the area. More than a million bricks were made at the local site for the construction of the building. Left, a teepee set under one of the paintings and biblical figures dressed in traditional Indian clothing near the back of the church demonstrates the Indian influence found at this church. The Mission is still being used on Sundays for Mass by the local residents. Visitors are welcome to attend the service.
