Cindy Taskila, kennel manager at Spokane County Regional Animal Protection Service, holds a groggy dog named Miles on Thursday. The dog was brought in as a stray with a severe leg wound, probably caused by a rabbit snare. The cost of Miles’ care so far amounts to $482.
