A 51-year-old Spokane woman was rescued April 16 from the second-floor balcony of her West Central home, 2317 W. Dean Ave., after fire broke out trapping her. Spokane fire crews placed a ladder at the front of the home and helped the woman escape. A 16-year-old, at left, also escaped from the home.
