The U15 Spokane Shadow girls soccer team won the Northwest Cup championship Aug. 14-16, defeating River City 2-1 in the finals at Plantes Ferry Park. The team is coached by Kara Sharpe and is composed of players from Gonzaga Prep, Lewis and Clark, North Central, Ferris, Mead, Mt. Spokane, Lakeside, West Valley, Central Valley, University and Freeman high schools.
