Randy Krum, left, visits with Lloyd Phillips at the former site of Ski-Mor, a ski resort built in the Chester Hills area of Spokane Valley in the 1930s. Phillips used to ski and ice skate at the resort, which was located, on then, Schaffer Road, that is now the end of 44th Avenue. Krum’s son, Logan, plays with their two labradors, Bella and Abbey. Krum recently purchased 20 acres and was plowing his road when the two met up.
