Except for the commercial spaces, the Walnut Corners building on Broadway and Walnut, photographed Tuesday, July 7, 2009, is about finished. The upscale affordable housing project with first-floor commercial space is being financed by a construction loan, but the nonprofits behind the project are hoping that federal stimulus money will be available to help pay it off.
