Ellamae Anderson, 87, digs into a piece by Chopin Friday, May 15, 2009 in the Magnuson Theater at Gonzaga University while competing at Musicfest, an open music competition. She was the oldest competitor by far. She studied piano as a youngster, but didn’t get serious about it until she turned 81.
