A hen duck and her 12 ducklings create a parade-like atmosphere as they cross the Lilac Parade route while trying to march to the Spokane River on Saturday in downtown Spokane. For the second year, Mama Duck laid her eggs in a concrete awning at the Sterling Savings Bank building, where they were watched by banker Joel Armstrong, left, and Crystal Tobeck, right. A group of bank employees, media and bystanders followed the slow walk to the water by the duck family. Jesse Tinsley / The Spokesman-Review
