Sgt. Eric Anderson, Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife aquatic invasive species enforcement coordinator, washes a boat Thursday that was contaminated with quagga mussels from Nevada’s Lake Mead and was seized by officers this week in Spokane after a multistate tracking effort. Boaters heading to Washington waterways this weekend will encounter mandatory stops by Fish and Wildlife to check for invasive aquatic species.
