Unshakeable Wobblies: Rick Colon, left, and Gary Jespersen, dressed as police officers, pretend to arrest Liz Moore on Tuesday during the Peace and Justice Action League’s re-enactment of the Industrial Workers of the World’s 1909 “street corner speakout,” organized after the Spokane City Council banned speaking in the streets. Moore played Lucy Parsons, a Wobblies organizer and one of more than 500 speakers arrested in one of the nation’s most significant acts of civil disobedience. The re-enactment took place at Spokane Falls Boulevard and Stevens Street in Spokane.
