A U.S. Forest Service memorial plaque stands at the famous Pulaski Tunnel outside Wallace, Idaho. The Forest Service refused to fund a granite memorial that Pulaski designed for the fallen firefighters during the ranger’s lifetime. Wallace residents raised money to place it for the centennial of the 1910 fire.
