Jean Dinsmore, who grew up on a farm in Troy, Idaho, holds the book, “How to Sew a Button – and Other Nifty Things Your Grandmother Knew.” Dinsmore, one of 10 grandmothers interviewed from around the country for the book, says she learned how to cook, clean, do laundry, sew and knit from her own mother.
