Animal Control Officer Ashley Brown climbs onto a car to try and unlock it through the sunroof to free a dog left in the car on a hot day Saturday, July 17, 2010 along Sprague in Spokane Valley. It took her only a few minutes to unlock the car and release the dog, which was warm to the touch and panting, a sign that the heat was beginning to affect the dog.
