James McIntire was among hundreds who waited two to three hours to give blood June 21, 1994, at the Inland Northwest Blood Center in response to the previous day’s fatal shootings at Fairchild Air Force Base. Waiting anxiously, center, is Airman Chad Collier who said, “I did it for a little kid, and now I’m doing it for this. I just don’t give up my life fluids for no reason ma’am.”
