With Spotted Eagle Lake and the other ponds in the Miles City, Mont., area still covered by a layer of ice, these Canada geese are substituting the puddles at the Eastern Montana Fairgrounds for their swimming and feeding needs. The shallow waters will have to meet their needs until warm weather starts opening up their regular habitats.
