A recovery team sent in to retrieve Aron Ralston’s right arm from Bluejohn Canyon had to use hydraulic jacks and hoist the 800-pound rock from above to succeed. Blook can bee seen at right where Ralston freed himself by amputating his arm with a dull multi-tool knife.
