New resident Ashlee Erickson, who recently moved into the Lighthouse of Hope house in Spokane's West Central neighborhood, sits on her bed there Monday, Nov. 22, 2010. The home, which serves as a transitional and temporary shelter for single women, has five beds, but can sleep up to nine in an emergency. Erickson was recently released from prison after serving time for burglary and stolen property crimes.
