Friends and relatives surround Steve Sall’s resting place during his funeral at the White Eagle Memorial Preserve outside Goldendale, Wash. Sall, who died from complications from Lou Gehrig’s disease, chose to be buried in this private forest. Sall is part of a small but growing number of Americans choosing environmentally friendly burials.
