Mort Walker, the artist and author of the Beetle Bailey comic strip, describes drawing President Lyndon Johnson’s ears for a caricature after Johnson attended a gathering at the National Press Club in Washington while president. Walker spoke at his Stamford, Conn., studio of his work and experiences as Beetle Bailey’s 60th anniversary on Labor Day approaches.
