According to the market organisers, the world's largest Christmas tree towers above the Christmas market in the city center of Dortmund, Germany, Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2011. The 45 meter high Christmas tree is made of 1700 spruces, weighs 30 tons and and is illuminated by 40.000 lights.
