In this photo taken June 11, 2011, therapist Kate Dillingham, left, talks with children as Duane Stuckman, a Marine based at the Great Lakes Naval Station, uses a puppet during a role-playing exercise in Chicago. The exercise is part of Operation Oak Tree, a program that offers arts-focused therapy to help military families deal with the emotional stages of deployment. Launched in 2009, the program encourages kids to express their feelings about having mom, dad, or other family deploy.
