Steve Arce, standing with his dog at his Spokane Valley home Tuesday, believes that Daren LaFayette was a hero. Five years ago, Arce was driving up a mountain road when LaFayette jumped into a runaway truck and steer it away from Arce’s path. LaFayette lost his life.
