Mike Van Zee is one of nine Special Olympics Washington athletes who will compete in the Special Olympics 2011 World Summer Games in Athens, Greece, that begin Saturday. On June 13 at a Spokane City Council town hall meeting at West Central Community Center, a proclamation was read making it Mike Van Zee Day in the city of Spokane.
