Walk out, sit in: About 100 Boise High School students gathered in the rotunda of the Idaho state Capitol on Monday morning, settled in and began studying and doing their homework, as part of a series of walkouts at high schools across the state Monday in protest of state schools Supt. Tom Luna’s school-reform plan. Later in the day, after the crowd grew, the teens protested inside and outside the capitol and chanted, “Kill the bill.” Other protests were reported in Nampa, Caldwell, Meridian, Pocatello and American Falls.
