The tapestry from a 1995 picture of Pope John Paul II is displayed during a solemn celebration where he was beatified in St. Peter's Square at the Vatican, Sunday, May 1, 2011, in the fastest beatification in modern times. He died April 2, 2005. The ceremony was led by Pope Benedict XVI.
