Two dozen fly fishermen volunteered to help clip adipose fins on rainbow trout fry at the Spokane Fish Hatchery Monday. Since the fleshy rear fin behind the fish's dorsal fin is not necessary to the fish, it can be clipped to mark the trout for fisheries research. This fish, being snipped by Jerry Harms of the Inland Empire Fly Fishing Club, is destined for Curlew Lake net pens.
