Salmon protection: Laurinda Hill, with the Columbia River Inter-Tribal Fish Commission, carries her shotgun loaded with firecrackers as her boat patrols for sea lions on the Columbia River near Bonneville Dam on Tuesday near Stevenson, Wash.
