Burned out. A fire investigator peers out of a charred top-floor apartment where a fire broke out Thursday in Seattle. Firefighters quickly doused the 11th-floor fire, in the same building as a fatal fire in 2010, adjacent to Interstate 5. The building doesn’t have a sprinkler system because it was built before city codes required them.
