A normally bustling staging area for trucks carrying cargo containers is deserted at the APM terminal at the Port of Tacoma today. In Seattle and Tacoma, both ports were shut down after hundreds of Longshore workers failed to show up for work in connection with a union dispute at the Port of Longview in Washington state.
