Saying goodbye: Family, friends and colleagues bid farewell to Spokane police Officer Kurt Henson as the hearse pulls away following the funeral Tuesday outside Real Life Ministries in Post Falls. Henson, who had worked for the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Department before joining the SPD, was killed in an off-duty motorcycle accident July 24 near Clark Fork, Idaho. Law enforcement officers from Kootenai and Spokane counties attended the private service.
