A Spokane Sheriff’s car, driven by Deputy Rustin Olson in a crash last Friday, sits in the Sheriff’s parking lot Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012. The car left the roadway and flipped on South Pines Rd. after hitting a chunk of firewood placed or dropped in the roadway. Olson was speeding to a call about a fight at South Pines Elementary when it happened, but there was no fight found, leading police to suspect a hoax designed to catch a police officer driving by and cause an accident.
